Dave Portnoy is a rather popular twitter personality, with one of his more popular sayings being that “Stocks only go up.” However, the man has recently shown interest within cryptocurrencies, particularly Bitcoin. He asked the famous Winklevoss twins, the co-founders of Gemini, to explain things to him, and the two accepted shortly after.

Going For The Lower Rungs

Now, however, the founder of Barstool Sports seems to be shilling low-cap altcoins and actively promoting pump and dump schemes for crypto, which was never really a tasteful thing, to begin with.

He posted a number of videos on Twitter, and Portnoy, nicknamed Davey Day Trader, hinted at some new altcoin that he had shown an interest in. However, he refused to disclose the name of the cryptocurrency, stating that he doesn’t want them buying it before he did.

Pump and Dumps All The Way

Later on, he stated that he had diversified his crypto holdings as well, going into an altcoin by the name of Orchid. In his own words, he described the coin as a shitcoin form of OXT, and stated that Orchids themselves never die, which he sees as a win, apparently.

Portnoy even expressed his open interest in crypto pump and dumps. He noted that such an act is encouraged and can apparently be done “all day long.”

Satoshi Flipper stands as a popular crypto influencer known for his analysis, in particular. He warned people to be very cautious when dealing with Portnoy’s words, as it’s clear that the man himself knows very little about cryptocurrencies as a whole.

Portnoy is going to get many followers rekt who blindly buy his shills. The guy doesn't know anything about crypto. He just has a ton of followers.

Just be VERY careful and understand what you're getting yourself into.
