Interestingly, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livebitcoinnews.com\/japanese-atms-will-soon-start-offering-ripple\/\">according to Live Bitcoin News<\/a>, these ATMs will be run by central banks in the country as well.<\/p>\n<p>The goal, of course, is to increase accessibility and ensure that more users take advantage of cryptocurrency. This will be done via Ripple&#8217;s feature called &#8220;Money Tap&#8221; which ensures that users can scan QR codes to send and receive Ripple from their iOS and Android mobile devices.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, as InsideBitcoins has previously reported on, <a href=\"https:\/\/insidebitcoins.com\/news\/ripple-suing-youtube-over-xrp-video-scams\">Ripple was actually involved in a lawsuit<\/a>. The company was suing YouTube for allowing content that impersonated its CEO, Brad Garlinghouse.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Ripple came after the video provider after &#8220;millions of people&#8221; had seen the scam. In fact, one user even lost $15,000 XRP in one instance. An excerpt from the post read:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span class=\"a\">&#8220;The Scam has also irreparably harmed Ripple\u2019s brand and Mr. Garlinghouse\u2019s reputation. <\/span><span class=\"a\">By infringing on Ripple\u2019s protected trademarks and misappropriating Mr. Garlinghouse\u2019s image and\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"a\">likeness, the Scam fosters the false belief that Ripple and Mr. Garlinghouse are somehow associated\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"a\">with or to blame for the Scam\u00a0(they are not), and introduces profound uncertainty and confusion into the<\/span><span class=\"a\"> broader digital asset market.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fin-excerpt\">ATMs in Japan will soon start offering Ripple, the third-largest cryptocurrency in terms of market cap.
