Mastercard Is Hiring For A Blockchain Team

Last Updated on

Mastercard, one of the world’s largest payment processing companies, is looking to hire a team of blockchain and cryptocurrency experts. This includes traditional developers and higher executives.

More specifically, the company is looking for a senior blockchain engineer, a vice president for product management, a director of product management for cryptocurrency wallets, an engineering lead, and a director for product development and innovation reports CoinDesk.

Moreover, the group is looking to fill out other senior spaces, with tons of different experts of the technical side of blockchain and technological products in general.

The senior blockchain engineer, for example, is described as the following:

“Mastercard is looking for brilliant, passionate and innovative technical leader to join Mastercard’s Dublin Research and Technology team as part of our Blockchain team headquartered out of Dublin. In this role, you will be a key member of a highly agile team of technology enthusiasts. You will be part of a team playing a critical role in building exciting and innovative products and taking them to scale globally.”

Another position, a director of product development and innovation, is a bit more poetic, reading:

“Do you have the courage to look into the eyes of disruptive forces without fear, and maneuver them to your advantage?
Do you have the desire to work at the cutting-edge intersection of payments and crypto-currencies?
Do you have the ambition to build something which you can narrate to your grandchildren?
If yes, then this opportunity is made for you.”

This position asks for someone who’s an expert in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space to look for new opportunities, work with a team of all different sorts, and do their best to develop new products that take advantage of this technology. “He/She will be a “go-to” person for Blockchain and crypto-currencies for education, thought leadership, and technical product knowledge,” the post concludes.
